Billing questions
- What does “locked for life” mean?
- Your founding price ($5 a month or $39 a year for Pro) stays the same for as long as your subscription stays active, including while we retry a late payment. If the normal price goes up later, yours does not.
- What happens if I cancel?
- You keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for. When the subscription ends, the founding price ends with it: if you subscribe again after the founding offer has closed, you pay the normal price.
- Can I switch plans and keep it?
- Yes. Switch between monthly and yearly in Manage billing and you stay on founding prices, $5 a month or $39 a year.
- What happens after Jun 30?
- The founding offer closes at June 30, 2027 at 11:59 PM UTC, or earlier if all 100 founding spots are taken. After that, new subscriptions are at the normal price ($9 a month or $79 a year). Founding members keep theirs.
- How does billing work?
- Site is billed monthly or yearly, by card. You get an invoice by email for every payment.
- Can I cancel?
- Yes, any time, from your account → Manage billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, then moves to Free. Nothing is deleted; you just can't keep more than 5 private items until you upgrade again.
- Do you give refunds?
- We do not give partial refunds for unused time unless the law where you live requires it. If something is broken and we cannot fix it, email us and we will sort it out.
- Is there a free trial?
- The Free plan is the trial: use Tova without an account. The advanced features work on the built-in examples, so you can try them before you pay.
- What about Team?
- Team is coming soon. It will cover up to five editors in one account at a flat price.
- Is VAT or sales tax added?
- Tax is added where we have to collect it, based on your billing address, and shown at checkout before you pay.
